Feeding a Crowd

MP900177808When Jesus fed the 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fishes, it wasn’t the first time a miracle like that had been done. In the Old Testament, who fed a crowd with just a few loaves of barley bread? How many loaves were there originally and how many people were fed? Were there any leftovers?

Answer:  In II Kings 4:42-44 we read that the prophet Elisha miraculously multiplied 20 loaves of barley bread to feed 100 men,  and they had leftovers after they had eaten. Elisha said this was done according to the word of the Lord.
