Who made a foolish promise to God to sacrifice the first thing that came out to meet him as he returned home if God would give him victory over the Ammonites? What was it that came out to meet him?
Answer: In Judges 11:30-31, Jephthah the 9th judge of Israel, made a foolish vow to the Lord. He said if God would give him victory over the Ammonites, Jephthah would sacrifice the first thing that came out of his house when he returned home from the battle.
